There are many opportunities to help Celebrate Freedom. If you have one hour a week or many hours of time that you would like to volunteer, please contact us. Just give us a call at 605-774-3229. Just a few of the opportunities are listed below and Celebrate Freedom is open to new possibilities so do not hesitate to reach out and see what can be done together.
Persons to encourage a participant (there are men and women)
Contact a participant on a regular basis (daily, weekly) by phone or by text
Ask the participant what prayer requests they have. Pray with them and pray for the participant regularly
Invite them out for coffee, tea, or soda
If comfortable with the person, invite them to go to a sport event or church event with you
Every Sunday morning breakfast is served to 40-50 people and the number is growing
This opportunity can be anything from the setting tables, to donating food or staple items, purchasing ingredients, and making the food either days before or the morning of
This opportunity involves being present during the meal to serve the food and clearing tables
This opportunities involves putting away items, making sure tables are cleared, dishes are put in dishwasher, if any food left to package and refrigerate, coffee pots cleaned and put away
